A hint matters when it prevents the wrong kind of miss. Build a city shortlist, compare the clue’s cost with its value and make the single daily answer deliberately.
UrbanAbove’s daily run contains five cities and one guess per round. Each begins with 1,000 available points, from which optional hints are deducted. The checked Global round offers continent, country and first-letter hints before a city search and Guess control.
Separate U.S. and China daily modes narrow the pool, while Unlimited is advertised for subscribers. The public introduction’s broad free-access wording should be read alongside that specific subscriber label. The daily controls loaded without an account, but satellite imagery did not load during capture. The screenshot shows the public rules and mode catalog; completed daily scoring and paid Unlimited were not tested.
The one-guess format makes information gathering occur before commitment. A country hint can save a wildly wrong-region guess, but a first letter may add little if several candidates remain geographically distant. Compare the deduction benefit with the remaining point value. The satellite view’s rivers, coast and street layout can sometimes answer the same uncertainty without a hint.
A wrong continent can cost more than a useful hint. Inspect major landforms and climate context before choosing between nearby city names.
Select the hint that separates your strongest candidates. A cheap first letter is not useful if you have no plausible city shortlist.
Practice U.S. or China scope when local city patterns are your goal. The narrower pool changes which satellite details matter.
You enjoy satellite city recognition and decisions about spending score for evidence.
You want several trial guesses per city or unlimited free practice. Each daily city has one guess and Unlimited is subscriber-labeled.
Choose a different game based on the experience you want.
The public instructions specify one guess per city. Decide on hints before locking that answer.
The public mode link labels Unlimited for subscribers. Daily entries are described as free without an account, but the paid flow was not tested.
