About MapGame

A more curious way to explore.

MapGame helps you find geography games worth opening — and understand what you are getting into before your first round.

From a game to a guide

This site began as a home for map games. It now brings together independent geography games: street-view explorers, daily country puzzles, map quizzes, historical photographs and creative maps. The games run on their creators’ websites; our contribution is a useful guide to choosing between them.

What you will find here

Each game has an original overview, a short starting guide, pricing and account notes, and one or more screenshots captured from its public website. Categories help you browse a type of play. Collections explain which games fit a daily routine, a session with friends or a learning goal.

High-traffic sites are a starting point for discovery, not a guarantee of quality. We also include established learning tools and smaller games that offer a distinct experience. Our editorial policy explains the evidence and limitations behind the listings.

Who publishes the directory

MapGame editorial is the publishing identity of mapgame.app, rather than a claim that we are affiliated with any listed game. Research and assisted drafting are used to prepare the guides. Public entry pages and screenshots are checked against the official sites; that check does not cover every paid, logged-in or device-specific mode.

We do not sell placement in this first edition, use affiliate links or accept payments for rankings. If that changes, affected listings will be clearly labeled and this policy will be updated.

Help us keep the map accurate

Game interfaces, access rules and prices change. Send a correction or suggest a game with the official link and a description of what changed. Creators can also contact us about screenshot attribution or removal.
