Daily puzzles
Familiar placement disappears when a state stands alone. Inspect its proportions, coastline or river edges, then reconstruct the surrounding map to test your guess.
Statele is Teuteuf’s state-shape puzzle. The checked entry shows an isolated outline, a state search input and a six-guess counter. Removing surrounding states makes coastlines, straight boundaries and distinctive projections the main visual anchors.
The header links to rules, statistics and settings, alongside account and Teuteuf Passport options. The daily input was accessible without signing in. Treat the optional account or ad-removal products separately from the visible core puzzle; their full paid features were not tested.
A state can feel obvious on a national map and unfamiliar in isolation. Straight-edged western states are especially difficult when scale is removed, while coastlines or distinctive protrusions can provide stronger anchors. Describe the shape’s proportions before jumping to a name. Preserve a distinction between remembering where a state belongs and recalling the geometry of the state itself.
Ask whether the outline is wide, tall, compact or irregular. A near-rectangle can still have useful differences in aspect ratio and corner angles.
An irregular boundary may distinguish otherwise similar states. Look for a meaningful bulge or indentation instead of treating every small bend as noise.
Once a state seems plausible, imagine its neighbors and coast position. That checks whether the isolated silhouette agrees with your broader U.S. map knowledge.
You enjoy short silhouette puzzles and want a U.S.-focused daily habit. It is a useful challenge after learning the states in their map context.
You are still learning state names or need a full labeled map. A regional map quiz can provide scaffolding before isolated-outline recall.

Do not infer real area from the display size of an isolated silhouette. Compare its shape and proportions rather than how much screen space it occupies.
The checked state input and outline were accessible without an account. Account and Passport links were present, but their extra features were not tested.
