TimeGuessr
Estimate both the location and the year of a historical photograph.
Photos & history
Look around before deciding where and when. A place clue and an era clue can support each other, but neither should substitute for the other.
HistoryGuesser turns historical moments into 360° scenes. You can look around for architecture, clothing, transport and technology, then place a location guess and select a year. The public catalog advertises five-round solo runs, shared daily challenges, themed eras and country selections.
The captured round shows an immersive historical scene rather than a conventional archival-photo viewer. Treat its visual details as clues within the game; the inspected entry does not establish that each panorama is an original camera record. Community and room features are listed, but our check covers public solo play.
Place and year are separate estimates. A recognizable skyline may settle the location while leaving the construction stage or period uncertain. Conversely, distinctive clothing can narrow the era without naming a city. Build two hypotheses and test whether the scene supports both.
A landmark under construction can provide a narrower date clue than the finished building alone. Check what is present and what is missing.
Turning around may reveal transport or street design that the opening viewpoint hides. Use the extra field of view before deciding.
After the reveal, compare the answer with the evidence you used. Do not treat every rendered detail as an independently verified historical fact.

No. The public round combines a location guess with a year estimate.
That was not established by the inspected entry. We describe them as historical 360° scenes rather than original camera records.
