Identify a country or territory from its silhouette, using distance and direction clues.
Daily puzzles
Recognizing the silhouette begins the challenge. The later stages ask how well you connect that country with the places and facts around it.
Geographly’s introduction lays out a six-stage country challenge. It starts with an outline and a five-try identification stage, then moves through neighbors, capitals, flags, area and population. The outline display includes compass and scale clues, which help interpret orientation and size.
The progression tests whether you can connect facts about a place instead of recognizing just its silhouette. Capital matching and statistical stages demand different judgments from shape recognition. Our capture documents the ready introduction, so use the instructions for each stage rather than assuming they all share the first stage’s attempt limit.
An outline is only one representation of a country. Neighbor relationships provide spatial context, a capital provides recall, and size or population adds numerical comparison. The challenge becomes easier when you build those facts into one connected mental model instead of storing each as a separate trivia answer.
Compare approximate size as well as silhouette. Two similarly shaped places may differ substantially in area.
Before answering the neighbor stage, place the country among seas, borders and nearby states. That creates a geographic shortlist.
Large territory does not imply large population. Read the requested quantity before using a familiar ranking.

The inspected introduction lists shape, neighbors, capitals, flags, area and population.
The introduction explicitly gives five tries for the opening shape stage. Read later-stage instructions rather than assuming the same budget.
